Supergroup Chickenfoot will release “Divine Termination,” its first new tune in 5 years on BEST + LIVE, the group’s first ever best of collection, on March 10, 2017. History recently repeated itself for Devilskin as their new album Be Like The River entered their domestic album chart at #1 on week of release. Just 18 months ago their debut album We Rise spent 3 weeks in the pole position. This is unprecedented in rock music in New Zealand and is a testament to the excellence of Devilskin’s brilliant second studio album Be Like The River.

Be Like The River was recorded at Modern World Studios, Tetbury in the United Kingdom after Devilskin’s European Tour in 2016. After the success of We Rise the band maintained their strong working relationships, continuing the very successful and creative association with Producer Clint Murphy. Murphy produced and mixed the album, working alongside Ryan Smith from Sterling Sound New York who mastered both albums.

Devilskin have established themselves as a household name in their native New Zealand. Formed in Hamilton in 2010 this four piece rock band are bonded by blood. Paul (bass) and Nic (drums) are father and son, Jennie (vocals) is Nics’ Aunt and Paul’s sister in law, Nail (guitar) is Paul’s evil twin.

Devilskin have already earned a formidable reputation by earnestly demonstrating commitment to unpretentious musical values: writing songs that have depth and passion, and a relentless touring schedule. Their tactical instrumental attack is balanced by the seductive Jennie Skulander and her incredible voice that sweeps from whisper to roar, rips with power, drips with melody and captivates with sincerity.

PETER MURPHY Set To Release "Bare-Boned and Sacred" Live Album on March 10th

Following the overwhelming popularity of his Stripped Tour in 2016, the iconic PETER MURPHY will be releasing Bare-Boned and Sacred, a live album capturing the mesmerizing tour that saw over seventy shows in fourteen countries. It will be released on March 10, 2017 via Metropolis Records.

Recorded at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge in April 2016, Bare-Boned and Sacred captured a new sound for Murphy, reviving legendary songs to the exposed heart of his voice as never before heard in his epochal stage career, from "Marlene Dietrich’s Favorite Poem" (from his album Deep) to the title track on his latest album, Lion. Vocally as strong as ever, Murphy taps the pulse of his muse as a trio with his longstanding collaborators, guitarist John Andrews and bassist/electric-violinist Emilio “Zef” China. Characterized by Orange County Register as “a semi-acoustic run through his solo career and Bauhaus classics [that offers] its own subtle drama and charm thanks to the strength of the songs and Murphy’s theatrical voice and vision,” Bare-Boned and Sacred covers the spectrum of his oeuvre including a Bauhaus medley of “King Volcano” and “Silent Hedges.”

First emerging from the British punk and rock underground in the late 70s, Murphy (along with bandmates Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins) fronted the groundbreaking iconic rock band Bauhaus which spawned four iconoclastic and ultra-seminal albums as well as keystone singles "She's In Parties", "Silent Hedges", and, of course, "Bela Lugosi's Dead" before disbanding in 1983. Murphy launched a successful solo career that has yielded ten solo albums so far, including his latest LION, released in 2014.

Bare-Boned and Sacred will be released on March 10, 2017 through Metropolis Records.

MAXIMO PARK Unveil New Single, Album out April 21st

Alternative pop experts MAXIMO PARK today announce the forthcoming release of their sixth studio album, RISK TO EXIST, available on Daylighting/Cooking Vinyl on April 21, 2017.

Risk To Exist sees Maximo Park on blistering form, bringing together their trademark hook-laden melodies and sense of urgency with off-kilter rock, soulful grooves and pop sensibilities. Informed by the dire state of world affairs in 2016 and crumbling political systems, their latest body of work is a vital record for our times.

Kinetic title track and lead single "Risk To Exist" is a barbed introduction to the album, three and a half minutes of indie punk perfection crafted around rolling snare drums, a towering chorus and a central plea for humanity and solicitude. Inspired by the West’s response to the migrant crisis, the sneering, superior attitude of well-bred Tories, and the small, but meaningful gestures of love that reaffirm what is good in this world, it is a cry for compassion, and simply frames the precariousness of life in its refrain - ‘Throw your arms around me / I’ve come too far and the ocean’s deep”.

Frontman Paul Smith says: ‘The album is, ultimately, about empathy. Some songs are simple messages of solidarity and others are fueled by anger at the elitist, established order of British society. There's a questioning of power throughout and a feeling that there must be a different way of structuring our society in order to alleviate inequality. Musically, the songs reflect more soulful and groove-based influences, allowing more space in the arrangements than ever before. The central idea is to align great pop melodies with songs that reflect the state of the nation.”

These are pop songs that talk about big issues without talking down to the listener; an album where the political is also the personal. Risk To Exist (release date: April 21, 2017 via Daylighting/Cooking Vinyl) was co-produced by Tom Schick (Wilco, Beck, White Denim) and Maximo Park. Keen for the inspiration of unfamiliar surroundings after writing the album in their native North-East, the band decamped to Wilco’s studio, The Loft in Chicago, in Autumn 2016. Recorded completely live, the recording represents another bold stylistic step for the band after 2014’s Top 10 Too Much Information. Maximo Park have also enlisted Mimi Parker from acclaimed US band Low for the record, whose voice lends its inimitable warmth to five album tracks, including lead single "Risk To Exist".

With 1,500,000 albums and four UK Top 10 albums under their belt to date, Maximo Park have once again shifted seamlessly into a higher gear. They have expertly crafted an infectious pop album for our time, confronting the crucial issues track by track, one monstrous hook at a time.

Maximo Park are Paul Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), Lukas Wooller (keyboards) and Tom English (drums).
