Chicago-based alt-rockers 7 MINUTES IN HEAVEN (7MIH) have unleashed a lyric video for “LOTL”, the second single to be taken from their forthcoming EP Symmetry. The band’s lead vocalist/guitarist Timmy Rasmussen expands on the song:

“The action of breaking away from the status quo, forcing you to create your own path and taking action to find a solution. Calling yourself out for not doing the things you've set out to do, and letting go of what’s been holding you back to allow yourself to grow. Self-reflecting that everything works itself out in the end if you believe in yourself and are aware of what’s going on around you.” Check out the video for “LOTL” here:

Prior to “LOTL”, the band released “Symmetry”, the first single off their forthcoming EP which you can view here. Timmy Rasmussen elaborates that the song is about reaching a breaking point and “realizing what once worked before, no longer does.” He continues that it is about “finding what’s right for yourself, taking a step back and reflecting on what needs to change around you and within yourself. Be yourself, what works for someone else usually won’t work for you - know yourself above all.” The band are currently on tour in the US with The Millenium and A Summer High.

THE MOMS Unveil Covers EP and Announce Tour Dates

In support of their upcoming stint with Brick + Mortar, New Jersey’s favorite sons THE MOMS revealed their new EP Songs from the Road today. The 4-song EP is a collection of cover songs by bands that have a special meaning to The Moms and is now available worldwide. Bands include The Front Bottoms “La La La (The Power of Supply)”, Trashkanistan “180 Grier on Nursery”, Half Raptor “Sadly, but Surely”, and Cheapshow “What, We Have Car Payments, We’re Just Going to Walk Away From our Financial Obligations?”.

“In 2010, when The Moms were just a twinkle in our eyes, I had reached out to The Front Bottoms trying to book them in my basement,” explains vocalist Joey Nester. “At the time, The Front Bottoms were still a local band that played places like The Meatlocker in Montclair, basements in New Brunswick, and simple street shows at Rutgers to people who were only just passing by. The band responded to my email with a collection of demos that they had recorded. ‘The Power of Supply’ was among my favorites of these songs and I can’t believe that they had never put it on any of their later records – so we recorded it.”

Living the D.I.Y. dream since 2011, The Moms are a hard charging trio from Morris Plains, NJ. Not only are they masters of the mosh pit – they also deliver memorable hook-filled songs often below the 2-minute mark. They’ve covered ground in the United States, Canada, and Japan including Skate & Surf Festival and three annual appearances at The Fest.

The Moms is Joey Nester (vocals, guitar), Jon Stolpe (bass), Matty Stolpe (drums). Their new EP Songs from the Road was released today via Bar/None Records. A new album is currently in the works. Catch them on tour this summer with Brick + Mortar!

The remixes are the latest of remixes for the song following the electronic group GREY’s premiere on Dancing Astronaut, and DJ TEP NO’s premiere on Popdust.

END OF THE WORLD "One More Night" Music Video

As “One More Night” continues to make its presence throughout the U.S. so does the band’s divergence in branching into the EDM/Dance music scene. Ryan Riback’s remix was made for the modern day club scene, with emphasis on Fukase’s smooth vocals. The soft, gradual build up to the song’s catchy chorus creates a contagious dance environment, and conveying the dramatics and storytelling pocketed in End Of The World's shining single. MAKO’s remix establishes a more boisterous tone earlier on, bringing on the dancey rhythm before the vocals come in. Once Fukase’s vocals come in, they dance with the claps and synths throughout the chorus and bring conveys the most energetic interpretation of the song.

“One More Night” was the Tokyo-based group’s first step towards releasing music in the U.S. The theme origin for the band name End Of The World began at the lowest point of lead singer-songwriter Fukase’s life. Due to his continuous battle with mental illness, Fukase checked himself into a mental hospital at 17 years old and spent a year of his life in psychiatric care. In order to regain what had been lost in his life, he began fully enveloping himself in his music and found renewed life through penning his honest feelings into song. Years later, Fukase reconnected with a few childhood friends and began writing and playing music as a group. The result of these writing sessions created a unique blend of Top 40 pop-hooks with lyrics themed to subjects like atheism and anarchy. As a nod to Fukase’s history in the inception of his music, the band collectively chose the name SEKAI NO OWARI, which translates to End of the World. Despite the ominous name, it was a new beginning for the band.

Both remixes of “One More Night” can be streamed now on Soundcloud. Even more new music from End Of The World is on the horizon. The band is available for interviews. End of the World is Fukase, Nakajin, Saori, and DJ LOVE.
